Lipo 360 in Philadelphia

Achieving a smooth, contoured waistline is possible with Lipo 360, a minimally invasive liposuction procedure that enhances the entire midsection—including the abdomen, waist, and lower back. This comprehensive approach creates balanced, natural-looking curves from every angle.

At The Lumen Center, we perform Lipo 360 using laser-assisted liposuction technology, which helps remove stubborn fat while also promoting skin tightening. This advanced method allows for more precise sculpting and a smoother recovery experience.

Our founder and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Andrew Kwak, brings over 20 years of experience in aesthetic medicine. His combination of technical expertise and artistic eye allows him to highlight your natural shape and deliver beautifully tailored results.

What Areas Can I Address with Liposuction 360?

Lipo 360 treats the entire midsection in a single procedure, targeting the abdomen, waist (“love handles”), and lower back for comprehensive, 360-degree contouring. These areas were traditionally addressed separately, but modern techniques allow them to be sculpted together for more balanced, harmonious results.

Because definitions of the treatment zones can vary between surgeons, it’s important to confirm exactly which areas will be included during your consultation so you know what to expect from your customized plan.

Lipo 360 can also be safely combined with other cosmetic procedures as part of a mommy makeover, such as natural breast enhancement or a Brazilian Butt Lift. Additional liposuction on areas like the arms, thighs, upper back, chin, or neck may also be added to further refine your overall shape.

What to Expect During the Lipo 360 Procedure

Lipo 360 is performed as an outpatient procedure, which means you can go home the same day. To keep you comfortable, the treatment area is first infused with a local anesthetic. We then create a very small 3–5 mm incision—typically no larger than a freckle—through which a thin cannula is inserted.

This cannula contains a specialized fiber that delivers laser energy directly to the fat layer. The laser helps loosen and break down fat cells, making them easier to remove. Once liquefied, the fat is gently suctioned out. The exact amount removed varies from patient to patient, depending on their goals and anatomy.

The laser technology used in Lipo 360 provides several important benefits. It helps seal small blood vessels, which reduces bleeding, bruising, and swelling. The controlled heat also stimulates collagen production, promoting tighter, smoother skin over time. Because the incisions are so small, patients typically experience minimal scarring and no need for stitches.

What Is Lipo 360 BBL?

If your goal is a more defined waistline and a fuller, more lifted buttocks, a Lipo 360 with Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) combination procedure may be an effective option. A BBL uses the fat removed during your Lipo 360 treatment and transfers it to the buttocks to enhance shape and volume.
Combining these procedures offers a powerful contouring effect: Lipo 360 refines the midsection, while the fat transfer adds projection and roundness to the buttocks. Together, they create a smooth, balanced silhouette with greater definition between the waist and hips, highlighting your natural curves.

Liposuction 360 FAQs

Since Lipo 360 is a minimally invasive procedure and you’re given local anesthesia, downtime for Philadelphia patients is minimal – typically just a long weekend for recovery. We’ll provide specific aftercare instructions and follow-up care at regular intervals to ensure you get the best results and heal quickly. You will need to wear a compression garment one month after your procedure.

An ideal Philadelphia candidate for Lipo 360 is close to their ideal body weight and wants to address excess fat deposits that persist even with diet and exercise. If your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9, you are an ideal candidate. However, if you are within 20-30 pounds of your ideal weight (typically under a BMI of 30), you could also experience good results from 360-degree liposuction. You should be in good health and have good skin elasticity. It’s important to note that Lipo 360 is not a solution for weight loss.

Once the swelling goes down, you may start to see results within one week. Full results are expected within 4-6 months when the skin reaches optimal tightening.

Traditional liposuction is an invasive surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia and comes with some risks and increased side effects. In addition, traditional liposuction doesn’t tighten the skin. SmartLipo 360 uses more advanced methods to remove fat and provide skin tightening benefits. Since it’s a minimally invasive procedure, SmartLipo Philadelphia results in fewer side effects and a shorter recovery time.

A tummy tuck (also known as abdominoplasty) is an invasive procedure where a doctor makes an incision from hip to hip, pulls together and stitches the abdominal muscles. In the process, excess skin and fat are removed to produce a flatter-looking tummy. A tummy tuck may be a good option if you need to remove loose skin.

On the other hand, Lipo 360 is a less invasive procedure to remove excess fat. Unlike a tummy tuck, SmartLipo 360 does not remove excess skin. However, LUMEN offers Renuvion skin tightening in Philadelphia, referred to as the “nonsurgical tummy tuck.” Renuvion uses plasma energy to shrink the skin and is an excellent option if you have mild to moderate sagging skin due to aging or weight loss. In any cases, you can experience tummy tuck results with Renuvion and laser liposuction without a surgical procedure.

Reducing fat in your midsection offers health benefits as well. Research suggests that abdominal fat is linked to an increased risk of insulin resistance and diabetes. In addition, when you have a strong and toned midsection, it can help improve balance, stability, posture, and decrease your risk of back problems. For many of our Philadelphia patients, a liposuction procedure helps renew a healthy lifestyle of regular exercise and good eating habits.

The cost of 360 Lipo depends on the number of areas targeted and any additional procedures performed. Also, the price can vary if you want Renuvion Skin Tightening or other procedures performed, such as a Brazilian Butt Lift. At The Lumen Center, the pricing is very competitive and all-inclusive, covering everything associated with your procedure, aftercare, and post-procedure follow-ups during the first year after your procedure. We suggest scheduling a complimentary consultation to get a customized plan and detailed quote. In addition, we offer a variety of financing options to make your procedure affordable.
