Facial Fillers in Philadelphia, PA

Injectable fillers restore volume, smooth wrinkles and rejuvenate your face for a more youthful look. Fillers can even contour and sculpt your facial features to provide balance and transform your appearance. For most people, BOTOX and BOTOX-like treatments (such as Dysport and Xeomin) and temporary fillers (such as Restylane, Radiesse, and Belotero) are the quickest and most economical way to restore a rejuvenated look without significant downtime. The results are natural-looking and subtle, but the improvement is noticeable.

How Do Fillers Work and What Are They Made With?

Fillers can be used alone or in combination with a cosmetic treatment like BOTOX. Fillers typically last 6-18 months, depending on the product and area of treatment. In general, the denser the product and the deeper it is injected, the longer it will last. To maintain your results, repeat injections are performed.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers are a popular category of softer fillers and include brands such as Belotero, Restylane, Lyft and Voluma. These softer fillers can be used around the eyes, cheeks, and mouth. They really show their strength by filling in areas of the face that start to develop deep shadows or hollows. They can be used around the eyes to alleviate dark circles or a tired look. HA fillers are also useful in plumping the lips for a natural and balanced look. They typically last 6-18 months.

Bioactive Fillers

Bioactive fillers, such as Radiesse, stimulate the skin to produce collagen. Radiesse has a thicker consistency and is made of natural calcium. Bioactive fillers are injected deeper into the skin to recontour the cheeks and jowls by pushing them up. These fillers are more durable, lasting 12-18 months.

Each person has a unique facial structure and different problem areas. Our knowledge of the characteristics of each product allows us to customize your treatment to achieve the best balance for your face.

Fat Transfer Injectable Fillers

For a longer-lasting filler, your own fat is the most durable and there is no chance of an allergic reaction. Lumen Fill is a specialized technique that uses gentle liposuction to extract fat from a donor area and that fat is then distilled to its purest form. The fat can be injected into multiple areas of the face to restore lost volume in cheeks, push up jowls, plump up lips and lift the eyebrows.

Your Comfort Is a Priority

At The Lumen Center, we perform treatments in the most minimally-invasive way possible using the latest techniques. Blunt cannulas are new dull tipped needles that allow fillers to be placed with much less bruising and pain than conventional needles. They have made filler treatments much more comfortable than in the past. Patients are also given a local anesthetic for comfort during the procedure.

"I have received filler injections from Dr. Kwak for several years now and I could not be happier with my results. His technique gives my face a very natural and smooth appearance. I have recommended and would recommend The Lumen Center to all!"

The Recovery Process

There is little to no recovery time after filler injections. Bruising and discomfort is extremely rare, and normal activities can usually be resumed immediately.
