SoFonzy is a Philadelphia-based artist who began painting in August 2019. Possessing a lifelong passion for the arts, SoFonzy used to rap in his late teens and early 20s. He was inspired to explore another form of self-expression during a trip to Miami’s Lynwood Walls in 2019. He started his life as a painter, and a new journey began!
SoFonzy has numerous pieces, most of which are acrylic paintings done on canvases or wood. However, he has writings, songs, and a few modern/abstract accent pieces.
Jennifer Campbell is an artist who specializes in acrylic painting. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jennifer now calls Bucks County her home. She graduated from Holy Family College with a B.A. in Art and furthered her education by earning her art teaching degree and taking additional studio classes at Moore College of Art and Design.
Jennifer got her start at the age of 17 painting murals. She eventually focused her attention on painting in acrylic on large canvas. Her art reflects her interest in Neo-Classicism as well as 18th Century Portrait Art and figure painting. “I am very focused when I paint. Every curve and slight nuance of the figure must be translated onto the canvas with perfection”.
One of the highlights of Jennifer’s career was the opportunity to work with designer and television host Ty Pennington in 2017. In a collaborative effort that benefited Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Jennifer painted a 3’ x 15’ canvas based off of Ty’s design, which now hangs in the Barbara and Harvey Brodsky Enrichment Center in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
Mania Arabatlian is an award-winning Chester County artist. She graduated from the Aleppo University in Syria, and shortly thereafter moved to the United States in 1984.
Mania has always maintained a dream to pursue her passion: art. At an early age, Mania was known to take her mother’s lipsticks and “create” all throughout her childhood home. This early play later developed into serious exploration in art studies. Upon arriving in the United States, Mania studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA). She continues her studies with local artists in the area, building upon her individual style.
Mania’s unique style has earned her awards throughout the tri-state area. Her vision for paintings is to create a new world to explore in each piece. Representational, academic painting is combined with playful, abstracted color, light and form to create these worlds that both delight and inspire.
